AM I ELIGIBLE?

How to Apply for Legal Services

With few exceptions, ENLS can only assist Essex County residents in civil matters and whose gross income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Assets limits also apply.

In addition, proof of citizenship or lawful immigration status must be provided; and the case or matter for which you seek assistance must be within program priorities.

We accept applications over the phone by calling 973-624-4500 and online at ENLS’ website at https://essexnewarklegalservices.org or the program’s email at  ENLS@lsnj.org

Due to the pandemic, in person visits to ENLS are highly discouraged. ENLS’ top goal is to continue to deliver its services and this can only be done by keeping both clients and staff safe.
